Day 4
THE DOOR CONTINUES TO OPEN!
Today we returned to the community school to work with the other five grades. Our mode of operation was to share Christian music, explain the Good News braclet, tell bible stories and talk to the children about health. We gave each of the 250 children tooth brushes, a tube of tooth paste, and a Good News braclet with explanation in Spanish and English.
The unusual thing about today at the school was that the teachers turned the entire school over to us and they had a faculty meeting. So we did all kinds of things to keep all the children occupied as we worked with the groups with whom we did not meet Monday.
Today the children immediately opened their arms to us and we responded with Christ’s love and many hugs. Following a sandwich lunch, some of the group went visiting homes and the remainder of Team Alpha stayed in the van and prayed.
Even when the rain showers came, the group continued house to house concluding with a wonderful visit in a home of believers. The young father came under conviction as he read from the bible that he had neglected the Word. This family is a possibility for the new church start.
Wednesday we plan to return to the community to witness in the homes. Before we get there we will stop at a church to minister to their day care children. Then part of the team members will remain at a nearby bus stop to witness as others team members go up the mountain to visit homes.
Later in the afternoon we will visit the “Dump”.
May the Father pour His blessings on you as you pray for Team Alpha and the Santos Pamba community. Team Alpha greatly appreciates your posts as they have been inspiring and a great encouragement to us!

As I read, tears fill my eyes in joy, knowing you are at a school. My heart longs to be one of those giving the hugs and touching the lives of the children that Jesus said were so special to Him. You are laying a great foundation for us to follow in the coming months. Sing with a smile for me.
While the work may be tiring, I still see smiles on your faces. God continues to provide just what you need to accomplish His work. Stay strong. You are our hands and feet!
May God strengthen each of you daily and direct you as you sow the seed for Him. The love of God shows through even in the pictrues, so I feel assured it is showing through to those you meet. Keep singing, teaching, preaching and sharing the love of God. Betty Baker

Romans 10:1 “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelit (Quichua) es is that they may be saved.” Thank you for loving the lost with your lives!
What a blessing for people you are meeting. thank you for your work.

Ecclesiastes 9:7-10
Seize life! Eat bread with gusto,
Drink wine (diet coke, please) with a robust heart.
Oh yes—God takes pleasure in your pleasure!
Dress festively every morning.
Don’t skimp on colors and scarves (story scarves?),
Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange
For the hard work of staying alive.
Make the most of each one!
Whatever turns up, grab it and do it. And heartily!
This is your last and only chance at it…”
Team, thank you for taking hold of this opportunity, grab it and doing it heartily unto the Lord Jesus Christ. For some, this may be their one and only chance to hear of Jesus. WE LOVE YOU! Pastor Scott
Rejoicing with you and all of Heaven about new brothers and sisters!!!!!! Keep it up! I have always thought about Luke 15 as the stories of the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and Lost son. My perspective on those stories has shifted. Luke 15 illustrates a God who is passionately seeking the lost.
Love Y’all and we continue to pray for showers of mercy.
Way to go Kristi. We miss you and can’t wait for you to get back. Love ya
Pam
It is wonderful to see how the Lord is working through each of you!! I am so thankful for your willingness and obedience to give of yourselves to spread the word of the Lord. May signs, wonders and miracles follow you as you touch lives in Quito and may many be saved. I continue in prayer for you.
Just as you received fruit at your hostal, may you also receive the Fruit of the Spirit today (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control) and may the people in the Santos Paba area see and experience for the first time this fruit personally. May your harvest be plentiful and evident as you sew the seed today.
Sometimes I hate technology and sometimes I love technology. I hate it when I spend the whole day trying to make new software work (like today). I love it when, like today, I get to feel like I am a part of and connected to the great works that God is doing. Thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of these blessings by sharing pictures and commentary about your days in Santos Paba.
WOW! These pictures are great. I can see that many of you are working in the word of God.
Luke 10:27
You must love your neighbor as yourelf.
You are doing this by working with the wonderful people of Ecuador. I see many changes with all of you in the Lord.
Well, I love you dad!

You went to the Quito Dump today. I was hoping to read your posts and see the pics. We talked about your trip tonight at church. We are excited about what you are doing. Those attending subesequent trips are eager to serve Him and be a part of this work. Praying for you.
Father give them the energy and strength they need. Amen.
