Day 6
BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!
Thursday was a day for us to bless others. Our day began as we stopped on our way up the mountain to purchase rice and beans to give to the community school’s nursery/day care. We had already purchased disposable diapers the day before. When we arrived at the day care, we presented our gifts to the surprised and grateful workers. For the remainder of the time before (sack)lunch, we played games with the children and had a ball!!
AFTER LUNCH we returned to the school to give each child a key chain with Christian sayings. You would have thought we had given them an “XBOX” by the smiles on their faces!! We even had enough key chains to give all the teachers and the parents one. What a blessing it was to bless others! Hugs and photos and goodbyes followed!
TO MARKET, TO MARKET was our next stop. It was the largest food market in the city–and it was BIG! Our primary purpose was to visit one of the vendors–a box maker–and visit his chapel next to his shop. This pastor was one of those who preached Sunday. We had a prayer for the pastor and the church.
GOD DID IT AGAIN!!!….and the angels in Heaven sang four more times!!! After exiting the chapel, we were fellowshipping and some stepped across the street to witness to two ladies. (Read Alan’s testimony of this experience attached to one of the photos.!) Alan presented the gospel as Guillermo translated. Both ladies prayed to receive Christ! As Alan was sharing the Good News bracelet with the ladies, two men stopped and listened. Later they, too, received Christ! God’s timing!!!
THEN BACK TO THE HOSTAL for a delicious, we fully surprised Eduardo with a birthday cake on today, his birthday! Some of our group volunteered to wash the dinner dishes in honor of his birthday! All were blessed! . We sang songs of praise and prayed.
AFTER THE MEAL, Guillermo displayed a hand written map of Santos Pamba and pointed out houses that have agreed to come to a Bible study.
Sorry for the delay in this report! Internet issues. We are all fine and look forward to coming home Saturday. We will post new photos later this evening.

Alan, I am so proud of you…not because you led four people to the Lord, but because you have truly allowed God to work in you and through you. I am so ready for you to be home.
My day was not the same without the news of your journey. I truly missed the update while the blog was down. What an exciting day in the Lord you all had!
I have not missed a day checking up on the work going on there. Thank you for the pics and testimonies. I praise God for those who were saved & for the boldness of this team to share His love with those hungry for His love.

Amen” Ephesians 3:20-21 comes to my mind as I read your words and see the pictures. To God be the Glory!!!
I find something new to enjoy and praise the Lord each time I look at these pictures. My heart is full. This is beyond what we envisioned back in October. Kelly B wrote to tell me he isn’t allowed to view these yet but I can hardly wait until he does! Words don’t do justice….
