Hola church,
I have finally found an opportunity to get you a word on things. And
that word is ¨wonderful¨.
travel was fine. Eduardo has moved to a larger, even nicer hostal.
the big event yesterday was that the director of the middle school we
were to go to changed her mind and would not let us in. Pastor Marcos
waited two hours to see her and she would not see him. later in the
day the pastor and Eduardo went back to see her when school was out.
The result is that instead of seeing two classes yesterday, we will
see every student in the school today. So rather than share with
about 30 students, today we will see 300. Then it turns out that our
Bible study verse last night for the day was 1 Peter 5:6 Therefore if
you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may
lift you up at the proper time.

Pray for Sue, she got some bad sushi at the airport in miami and has
had to deal with that for a few days. I will try to get you another
update before wednesday supper. we are on the same time zone here. if
you need anything, you can email me. Eduardo´s phone is only .25 a
minute and i can call out anytime if necessary. stay in prayer for us
as we now really seek to deliver the gospel today to as many people as
we thought we would see on the entire trip. Take care and God bless.

Retreat @ El Refugio

We are here and alive, I know you probably thought we forgot about the blog. We were not in an area that had internet access until about 3pm on Monday. We had a great trip all the way, and we immediatley went to a Camp (what a coincidence for me). We participated in and helped lead a retreat for some Qichuan locals, most of them were youth between 11 and 26. There was also a local pastor and his wife and son. The whole weekend was a great experience and the Lord created a bond between all. Brett, Brenda, Michael his wife Cindy as well as all of their children were a part of the weekend as well. We spent alot of time learning to communicate with each other and it is amazing how well we all remembered enough spanish to at least get or point across to each other. We also spent time in bible study and doing one of the most amazing ropes courses I have ever seen(plenty of photos to black mail others with). We got to experience plenty of local quisine as well as some American food (hotdogs, smores, pork chops). Today (Monday) on our journey back to Quito we were able to stop and visit alot of the tourist places. To night, we are going to some of the homes of the locals that were at the retreat. We will get to have bible studies with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives. For those of you who have been here we will be going to Santos Pamba.
